On his first day in office,Joe Biden wasted no time getting down to business. The 46th president of the United States took a number of executive actions on Wednesday, including putting in place a national mask mandate on federal property, canceling the permit for the Keystone XL oil pipeline and the Muslim travel ban. Biden also had the U.S. rejoin the Paris Accord.
Many of the orders reversed actions put in place by Donald Trump and set the course for Biden's term in office.
Wearing a mask, sitting at the Resolute Desk, Biden told reporters, "I thought there's no time to wait. Get to work immediately." (The Wall Street Journal)
