The friends were at a birthday party and were locked inside the escape room when the fire started. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the building fully engulfed in flames and the girls dead. Sunday was a day of mourning in the Polish city of Koszalin.
The president of Poland said in a tweet, “A devastating tragedy. The five joyful girls entering the life have been torn out of life. May the Lord God take care of their parents and loved ones.”
Starting today, fire inspectors will visit all 1000 escape room sites in Poland to review their emergency exit routes. (The Mirror, UK)
