Stephen A. Smith Explains the Importance of HBCUs

Stephen A. Smith called into The Steve Harvey Morning Show to share on his work within the HBCU College Fair in Wilmington, Delaware this weekend.

Not only has Stephen donated hefty amounts to his own Historically Black alma mater, Winston-Salem, he's also playing a big role in the third annual recruitment event. The successful sports media figure explained the importance of gathering African-Americans from disenfranchised communities together and gettin them "more in tuned" with the HBCU's of America. Being able to be a part of a family with connections and bonds that can play as positive influences throughout life, is a major factor in exploring these ground-breaking educational institutions.

There's so much to appreciate about attending an HBCU, but no one can explain it better than Stephen. Check out what his take as an ambassador for the college fair and what to expect when Magic Johnson passes through the gathering below!
