Grammy Award winning and legendary reggae artist Buju Banton has reportedly been released from prison earlier today. The Jamaica-Gleaner, put out the story earlier today, stating that Buju was released from the McRae Correctional Institution in Georgia this afternoon (Dec 7th)
As his release date was coming approaching, Buju released this statement in November via his twitter page:
“Having survived, I want to share the good news and strength of my music,” Buju said. “I just want to continue making music, which I’ve devoted my life to. I look forward to the opportunity to say a personal thanks to my fans and everyone who supported me.”
