According to reports, an exotic dancer was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Monday (January 22) for killing her childhood rival in a fight at a Northeast Portland strip club in June of 2016.Rinita Linell Lowe was 23 years old at the time of the incident where she had been entrenched in an argument at Club Skinn with Shantina Turner. While it is unclear what the dispute stemmed from, at around 11:30 pm, Lowe is reported to have pulled a knife from her handbag, and the proceeded to stab Turner in the neck three times. The pair had a history of tension between them according to the Deputy Sheriff. Lowe went over to Clubb Skinn after she completed her shift at Tommy Too's strip club when the murder took place.The victim, Turner was unarmed. Jason Lee, Lowe's defense attorney, stated that there is surveillance video showing Turner choking Lowe before she is repeatedly stabbed.On Monday (January 22) Lowe pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of Turner. In court, she said "I apologize for my actions," and reaffirmed that she never intended to kill the 29-year-old before being sentenced to 15 years in prison.The murder did not seem to be premeditated, and the two rivals just happened to cross paths that night.Source: nypost.com
