16-year-old Ralph Yarl was going to pick up his siblings and mistakenly rang the door bell at the wrong house. No conversation took place when the homeowner shot him through a glass door and then shot him again as he lay on the ground bleeding. The high school junior was reportedly able to get up and try to get help but was turned away three times by neighbors.
The 85-year-old homeowner will face two felony charges-- assault in the first degree and armed criminal action.
Meanwhile, according to family attorney Ben Crump, “He’s not out of the woods yet, but the great thing is, (medical officials) said he was stable enough to go to his home.”
