A heart-stopping new video shows the moment 49-year-old gunman, Peter Selis, was shot dead by police who stormed in to take him down after he opened fire on party-goers at a luxury San Diego apartment complex on Sunday night killing 1 and injuring 7 others. 35-year-old mother-of-three Monique Clark, who lost her life was a childhood friend of Nick Cannon.
On Monday, San Diego Police Chief Shelley Zimmerman said that 'in the few days prior to this senseless act of violence' Selis and his girlfriend had split up, and his family described him as distraught and depressed.Selis worked as a service technician at a Ford dealership, and filed for bankruptcy in 2015. He was a father of two and also had a step-son. Police said he entered the pool area and sat down in a lounge chair before calling his ex-girlfriend telling her that he shot two people. He then allegedly stayed on the phone with the woman while continuing to shoot at more people who were 'just mere feet from him,' Zimmerman stated. She added that Selis wanted the woman to listen in as he 'carried out his rampage.' Authorities say that the victims were only targeted because they happened to be at the pool at that time.
