Stars Blow Out Lightning

The Dallas Stars (14-5-3) blew out the Tampa Bay Lightning (10-10-5) 8-1 on Saturday afternoon in Dallas. The Bolts have now lost their last four games in a row.

The Stars built a 3-0 lead in the first period before Victor Hedman got Tampa Bay on the board with a goal late in the frame. That would be the only offense the Bolts would get as the Stars added three more in the second and two in the third to ensure a blowout victory.

Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed six goals on 25 shots he faced before giving way to Jonas Johansson, who went 7-of-9 off the bench.

The Lightning and Stars will meet each other again on Monday night, this time at Amalie Arena. Puck drop from Tampa on Monday night is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
