St. Pete's own Will Packer had expressed his dissatisfaction with the award event in 2016, acknowledging his disgust with the lack of diversity. Not only did he feel the lack of diversity in 2016 was “embarrassing” but he also admitted that the Oscars are simply one facet of the diversity problem.
I don't want to bring it up yet again, but with such a historic night in so many ways, it's really a shame that Will smith acted a fool.... smh...
