Apparently the guy was a pedestrian walking on the left shoulder of I-4 carrying a duffel bag. It's illegal to walk along the freeway like that on the left shoulder because it's dangerous and again it's illegal. The trooper ran the guy's name on the database and then tried to search him. That's when the guy punched him. If the trooper didn't find anything in this duffel bag & on the database-- he probably would have just taken the guy to a safe place so he wouldn't be walking on the freeway. But dude decided to punch the officer so he's going to jail.
