Carrie Underwood To Release A Christmas Album In 2020

Carrie Underwood gave her fans some good news this week during a virtual fan club party. The country superstar revealed she's been working on a full-length Christmas album and has plans to release it before the 2020 holiday season.

While seated on her sofa at home, Underwood told fans she's been working on the album since wrapping up her "Cry Pretty Tour 360" in 2019. This will be the singer's first full Christmas album. She previously released a holiday edition of her 2007 album, Carnival Ride, which featured Christmas classics including, "Do You Hear What I Hear," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "The First Noel," "What Child Is This," and "O Holy Night." At this time, Underwood has not shared any further details on the upcoming project.

Underwood's Christmas Album follows the release of her first book, FIND YOUR PATH: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul, and Get Strong with the Fit52 Life. The book, released in March 2020, features stories regarding her personal wellness, including more specific details of her fitness routine. Additionally, it covers more personal matters such as pressures that come with her life in the public eye.

"Fitness and healthy living have been a passion of mine for years,” she told People. "It took time to find my way and navigate my wellness journey, and this book will provide tips and tools to help the reader find what is practical and sustainable in his or her everyday life for all 52 weeks of the year, and help lead them toward a positive lifestyle."

Additionally, Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, have been opening up like never before in a new four-part video series, Mike and Carrie: God & Country. In the most recent episode the couple gets candid about the three miscarriages suffered and how they worked through it. See more of their story here.
