This is just another example that there is definitely an urgent need for criminal justice reform!
Eric B. was locked up on October 28th and released on bond this week. 17 years ago, Eric B. pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and resisting arrest but he failed to appear in court for sentencing so a bench warrant was issued. His then attorney told the DJ, producer and actor that he didn't have to appear. That lawyer is now serving 6 life sentences for murder, cocaine trafficking, racketeering & other crimes.
Eric B., who spent his 56th birthday on Nov. 8th behind bars is due back in court on November 22nd.
