This situation could have gone really bad really fast! I'm still confused on why the officer thought the white substance on the hood of the car would be cocaine. I mean why would cocaine be on a cars windshield and hood??? It seems as though the cop just wanted to take him to jail!
Kudos to Georgia Southern Quarterback Shai Wert for the way he handled himself knowing that he was being falsely accused! He remained cool, calm and collected. That's not easy when you know you're telling the truth but being arrested and carted off to jail anyway for an unjust reason.
The college athlete was briefly suspended from the team until he passed a drug test ... which he subsequently did. The charges were dropped as well.
