Soulja Boy's manager is defending the rapper over his recent arrest for gun possession.
The 23-year-old rapper, born DeAndre Cortez Way, was a passenger in a car that was pulled over in the San Fernando Valley last week for running a stop sign.
His manager, CEO Miami Mike, tells TMZ.com that the loaded gun police found wasn't Soulja's, but belonged to a neighbor, who left it under the seat of Soulja's car.
Apparently, Soulja Boy never told police that the firearm was his. Soulja's camp also believes that police didn't have a right to search the vehicle because they didn't have probable cause. However, authorities tell the celebrity gossip website that the gun was in plain view at the time.
