Gucci Mane is walking away from Warner Bros. Records. The rapper tells Arena.com that a change in the music industry led him to cut ties with Warner Brothers.
He says major record labels "can't move as fast" as independent labels. Gucci claims he now has full control over every decision.
Since leaving Warner Brothers, Gucci has signed a distribution deal with Phoenix-based 101 Distribution and hasn't looked back. In fact, Gucci claims he's already made more money with 101 than he ever did at Warner Brothers. The rapper adds that he's thankful that he and label giant were able to "part ways on good terms."
Gucci Mane recently released his ninth studio album Trap House III.
