POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA.com) - Jurors in the Kyle Williams case have recommended life in prison with no parole for the man convicted of killing a Lakeland police officer.

That same jury found Williams guilty of shooting and killing Lakeland Police Officer Arnulfo Crispin in December of 2011.

The morning began with attorneys on both sides giving their closing arguments.

Prosecutor Hope Pattey told jurors Williams killed the police officer in cold blood. "Kyle Williams made his own choices. His own adult choices to be where he was at the time that he was there. And more importantly, to be carrying a gun," said Pattey. "This is a person who is very devious, and calculating and evil and was intent on carrying out what he wanted to do at the exact moment and time that he wanted to accomplish and satisfy his goals."
