TAMPA, Fla. (970 WFLA) – Tampa Police say a 4-year-old boy is in stable condition after being shot in the arm.
Police say they are now searching for two suspects who were fighting with each other at Chestnut Street and N. Oregon Avenue at 11:00am.
Police said shots were fired at that location and one of the bullets traveled 250 yards north and hit the 4-year-old boy in the arm as he walked with his mother at W. Spruce Street and N. Oregon Avenue.
Police said four schools were on temporary modified lockdown, but that has been lifted.
Police are now searching for the suspects outside of the area.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the Tampa Police Department.
